5 Fun Ways to Boost Your Self-Confidence

by Gabriella De Leon March 14, 2016

As a female owned and female run company, BootRoxx is all about self-confidence and being yourself. There is nothing sexier than a woman comfortable in her own skin. However, the path to self-confidence isn’t always straight forward or easy. That’s why we’re here to give you five quick tips on how to raise your own self-esteem—the fun way.

5. Take yourself out on a date

We all have that one place we’ve been dying to visit—that cute little boutique, the hole-in-the-wall pizza place or that new coffee shop you’ve been eying for weeks. Stop making excuses and go! Take the time to get to know the real you. Gussy up, grab a good book and head out. Going to a new place alone will force you to be comfortable with yourself. When you’re alone, you will have the time to discover the little things that make you yourself.

4. Put together a kick-ass outfit

Face it; if you look good, you feel good. There’s nothing quite like turning heads when you walk down the street—that feeling of every eye on you, appreciating the beauty that is you. Take this idea as an opportunity for an impromptu shopping spree or a chance to pull out that dress you’ve been dying to put on but never felt confident enough to wear. Now is your time. The possibilities are endless; you can wear anything you want as long as you feel amazing.

3.  Cook a fantastic meal

There is something innately satisfying about making a delicious home-cooked meal. Skip the take out and stay home for a night. Put on a cute apron, whip out a great recipe, and grab a glass of wine. Take your sweet time, maybe put on your favorite playlist or have Netflix play in the background. Cooking doesn’t have to be a chore, it can be a fun way to pass the time. By the end of it all, you’ll be left with something scrumptious you can share with friends and family… or with the world through Instagram.

2. Get involved

Building self-confidence doesn’t have to be all about you. Helping others is the best way to make yourself feel better. BootRoxx’s mastermind and wildly-confident owner, Heather Sallan, has her own way of giving back to the community. Every year she does a food drive during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays which helps feed hundreds of families. Heather also had an outreach program in Nevada called Northwest Community Outreach and is working on running it through BootRoxx.

It’s simple to gain a huge boost of confidence. It’s as easy as following Heather’s example and helping local families in need. You can go to your local soup kitchen and help your community. During the holidays you can help feed those in need. Often times, local churches will have a way to help out on the weekends. Another way to get involved is one of your many local animal shelters. Help Fido find a home or make sure Fluffy has enough to eat. Whatever it is that you choose to do, know that you helped someone less fortunate. Yeah… Instant confidence boost.

 1. Make something

One of the greatest ways to boost a self-esteem running on low is to create something. This activity is when you can let your imagination go wild. Paint, invent, craft, build, draw, write, or just imagine. Whatever it is that you do, put your heart into it. Bask in the joy of creating something out of nothing. It’s no coincidence that some of the toughest, most confident women around are creative. Big or small, it doesn’t matter what you make, as long as you have fun.
